I came back to p99 recently after a 5 year break. Rolled an Erudite necro and I'm up to LVL 25 now and loving every minute. There are a lot of jank spells you don't need early when money is an issue. Just make sure to read up on the ones that are only available through the research skill.

Burning Woods is different than live because of mob population and pathing. It seems as if there are even more spawns in BW on P99 than on Live, and they path in such a way that the only decent spot to set up and fight is at the Giant Fort itself.
